    I was looking on the Ipe Clip website at the complete kits of fasteners. Can you substitute the headcote screws instead of the regular ones that come with the kits?

    The screws that come with the kits are stainless steel, high-quality screws! I was extremely satisfied.

    I know that if you go on the Ipe Clip website, it states what you can substitute for the kits the headcote screws. I hope this helps answer your question Ronald!

    When you put the hidden deck fasteners down you aren’t going to see the screw anyways. It shouldn’t make a difference wether you use the headcotes or the screws that come with the Ipe Clip kits.

    Yes, you can subsitue the Headcote screws in the Ipe Clip fastener kits. You can also substitue longer or shorter to screws to meet the needs of your specific install.

    From an economical view, I think that hidden deck fasteners are the way to go because they don’t have to be replaced. You might could find some screws that initially were cheaper than fasteners, but after the screws weather you’re going to have major problems!
